Philanthropitch San Antonio Raises over $150,000 for local nonprofits
It was a pleasure to reunite with the community last night at Philanthropitch San Antonio, presented by The Mays Family Foundation! We gathered in-person for the first time in 19 months to celebrate the dedicated work and impact of five non-profit organizations: Bihl Haus Arts, Culturingua, Maestro Entrepreneur Center, Girls on The Run Bexar County and Pride Center San Antonio.
Thanks to the generosity of corporate supporters, judges, audience members and YOU, Philanthropitch San Antonio 2021 raised $151,814!
Each non-profit shared impact stories during their pitch about the many San Antonians their programs reach - from veterans, to LGBTQ youth, to immigrants, to women entrepreneurs, to San Antonio girls. The Judges and audience alike were impressed and inspired by their work uplifting underserved communities.
We were pleased to have San Antonio Councilwoman Havrda join us, as well as six San Antonio Philanthropitch 2020 finalists and Coyote from the San Antonio Spurs! Having Coyote and the former finalists present checks to this year’s finalists was a special moment.

Thanks to all of you, Philanthropitch crossed some major milestones on Tuesday! The $151,000 donated is the most ever raised at a single Philanthropitch event since its founding in 2013. That money brought the total contributions across all Philanthropitch events to-date to a whopping $2 MILLION dollars!
We’d like to thank the hundreds of voters who gave their support to the finalists, both virtually and in-person. Thank you to our sponsors and finalist funders who believe in our mission and made this event possible. Finally, thank you to the larger San Antonio community who rally around each of these non-profits every day, and make sure their work is amplified!

As we conclude another successful Philanthropitch event, we are reminded that this model works. We’re inspired to continue helping non-profits scale their innovative business models and reach more people who need their services.
Wondering What’s Next?
